This multi-actor technical assistance assignment strengthens the green-services portfolio and delivery capacity of Business Development Service Providers in Egypt. It mobilises six international experts, seven national experts and 30 Green Business Development Service Providers to deliver Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production services to 60 industrial enterprises across the food-processing, chemicals, aluminium, agriculture and textile sectors. The programme combines service-provider capacity development, enterprise-level diagnostics, preparation of improvement measures, implementation monitoring and impact assessment. A dedicated component strengthens service providers’ capacity to support CBAM readiness and prepare bankable proposals for 10 industrial enterprises, connecting technical improvement opportunities with market, compliance and financing requirements.
Espire’s Lead International Expert coordinates the six international experts, seven national experts and 30 Green Business Development Service Providers across the assignment’s technical workstreams. Espire designs and guides the delivery of enterprise-level Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production assessments, including the training, mentoring and coaching of service providers to undertake diagnostics, formulate improvement measures, monitor implementation and assess enterprise-level impacts. Espire also supports capacity development for the delivery of CBAM-related readiness and conformance services and the preparation of bankable proposals for 10 enterprises. As the technical coordination interface among GIZ, consortium management, experts, service providers and participating enterprises, Espire is responsible for delivery quality, expert alignment and methodological consistency across the assignment.
