External Mid-term Evaluation of Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI) Phase II, which is funded by Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) as part of the ‘Swiss e-Waste Programme’, and being implemented by being implemented during 2019-2023 by the Institute for Materials Science & Technology (EMPA) and World Resources Forum (WRF). SRI Phase II supports selected SECO partner countries (Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Peru, South Africa) in architecting favourable framework conditions to protect human and environmental health and accelerate the development of sustainable recycling industries for e-waste and related waste streams, thereby leveraging opportunities to recuperate valuable secondary raw materials while promoting environmentally- and socially responsible management systems and livelihoods.
